Hey everyone,
My Reaper has been sitting for too long. There just isn't anyone in the area that runs RC boats...or RC anything for that matter. I hate to see it go, but I'm posting it for sale.
Build Thread:
http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...1-Vac-U-Pickle
Info on the Vac-U-Pickle Hull:
26" Length
13" Width
What's it loaded with?
- GForce 3660 2200kv 4 pole
- Turning Marine 120A
- Nanotech 2S 4400mAh 65C-130C (x2)
- Not sure what servo, but nothing special
- Aquacraft UL-1 Rudder
- Aquacraft UL-1 Strut
- .150" Flex Shaft with Liner
- Standard 5mm x .150" Coupler (AeroMarine was garbage!)
- 40mm 1.4P CNC Prop
- 42mm 1.4P CNC Prop
- Octura Bullet Nut
- Red High Grade Silicone Water Cooling Line
- Some Anodized Aluminum Hardware
- Some Stainless Steel Hardware
- Aquacraft Marine Grease
- Extra Cowling - Unlimited Turbine Profile (unpainted)
What's right with it?
- The entire driveline has only two runs on it.
- I'm confident in saying that this boat easily runs over 40mph. I have never GPS'ed it though. It was underestimated by much larger boaters. They learned.
- Everything ran cool, even with the 42mm prop and heavier 4.4Ah batteries.
- It is capable of running a 45mm prop, which is pretty ballistic, but unstable.
- Although not perfect, I think I gave it a pretty cool color scheme. :D
- It is built from formed high impact polystyrene in a laminated Mahogany ply reinforced double hull fashion. It is stronger than many of the fiberglass boats I've held and it a very solid boat.
- I built it with all 5.5mm bullet connectors!
What's wrong with it?
- There is shipyard rash.
- Some of the exterior bolts have surface rust.
- A nipple on the ESC cooling plate broke off, but was repaired without any issues.
- There is a tiny leak somewhere. I think it is coming from the driveline, but I'm not sure how to fix it. With that said, this boat has been submarined on occasion for up to about 15 seconds. It has also been flipped for periods in excess of 10 minutes. These events have never posed any water related threat. I just folded a piece of paper towel and stick it around the driveline before I taped the hatch up.
- I never installed a turn fin.
Asking Price: $300 Shipped in the US (was $310)

Thanks,
Kevon
