    Former National Champion Mono (JetChopper30)

    SOLD!

Up for sale is a unique JetChopper30. I hate to sell this boat but I am losing interest in the sport and have recently taken on a new career which keeps me from away from the lake. This boat was formerly owned by the infamous ProperChopper, aka Tony Heller. Tony won a National Championship in the P-Limited SAW class and after some adjustments it served me well in heat racing.

I did replace the original birch ply battery trays with carbon fiber trays. I also upgraded the cooling line, transom cooling line fitting, and water outlet.

Please keep in mind that this is a great looking boat but it was used for racing so it is not flawless. There is a spider crack in the gelcoat just north of the hatch opening. I have taken a close up picture of this flaw and added it to the post. In addition there are surface scratches which are illuminated by the black gelcoat.

Simply add some batteries and a prop and you are off!

Price: $325 shipped to the lower 48

    Below are some details:

    P-Limited Setup (NAMBA)
    - Spektrum MR-200 Receiver
    - Savox SC-0252MG Servo - Metal Gear
    - Hobbywing Seaking 120 ESC
    - Acquacraft 2030kv motor
    - Proboat Spektrum 2.4 2ch Transmitter

From Tony's Original For Sale Post:
JetChopper 30 - 30" mono FG hull - basically a DF-like Cyberstorm bottom but with a DF 33-like ride pad
Fiberglass cloth laid in to reinforce bottom
birch ply transom doubler - all hardware aircraft nutted (no speed nuts to rotate)
Pure-Tech battery straps on birch ply battery platforms [can run 1P or 2P]
OSE servo mount (servo not included)
TFL watercooled motor mount (motor not included)
.150 cable with stainless drive dog
Speedmaster 3/16 stinger - shortened and lead-teflon bushings installed (very smooth)
    Speedmaster .21 nitro rudder
split trim tabs w. inside edges tapered for better flow to prop
    OSE turn fins.
    hatch retention tabs

Boat is very capable P-Ltd Mono raceboat and eats Cyberstorms and Pursuits for breakfast

Got the boat as advertised in great condition. Am very happy, needed a few small tweaks, as I am new to boats, I took my exp form my airplanes and inspected it and found a few VERY MINOR issues, the trim tab was seeping a little water and one of the motor mounts had come loose frome the hull. I am not bothered by either of theses as they are easy quick repairs and as in a real boat (being used) it was just to be expected.
Ran the boat yesterday. At first I got to the lake and talked to everyone explaning (I AM A NOOB). Before even trying the boat I was told the boat was all wrong,(I ASKED FOR HELP) and changed the prop. Ran ok, but was slow and the roostertale was BIG. I next put the prop that came with the boat (the smaller one as I got two) on the boat and it ran much better. Then I put the larger pro- on the boat. Well, whoever set this boat up was good, it really came to live and was keeping up with the other boats on the pond up till they brought out the riggers. I am very pleased and had a great time!
I will prob build a insane electric hydro as this is the class to run small electris at our lake and this boat will be a tad slow maybe.
