shorter the better of course. about 1" would be perfect, if you are making them and the price is right Ill take 2

If I had access to a machine shop, I would make them from 3/8" or 1/2" round stock, drill the 4mm half way and the 5mm half way and have 2 set screws per side.... for that Id pay 10.00 to 12.00 a piece
