Phil Thomas SuperSport 45 Q Hydro Black Pearl Theme SS45

Hi everyone. I certainly never thought I’d be doing this, and I will definitely regret it, but hobby funds are getting tight and money doesn’t grow on trees……so here it goes!! This is a Phil Thomas SS45 hull that is set-up for Q sport hydro racing. I have a ton of money and time into this build including the custom graphics. The font is the actual font used from the Disney movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Very very meticulous clean build. The boat will be sold with everything shown including the NEU 1527-1Y. The rail mount for the motor also functions as a cross brace to stiffen the tub. The steering is tight with virtually no slop (ball cupped on both ends with a steel rod threaded at each end). Speedmaster hardware. Polished stainless prop!! All you will need is batts and an ESC. Also, if you want I will remove my NAMBA number and replace it with yours! Just let me know your number!!

Here’s a video during practice of the Pearl (disregard that loud obnoxious nitro boat that Mike is running in the beginning of the video )…

Here is Mike’s SS45 (same hull) setting the NAMBA Q record last year before it was beat out by literally hundredths of a second…

    PT SS45 Hull: $325
    NEU 1527-1Y: $279
    Water Jacket: $31
    Flexshaft: $24
    Collet: $10
    Speedmaster 21 Rudder: $39.95
    Speedmaster Strut: $29
    South River Motor Mount: $40??
    KlassKote Paint: $80
S&B polished and cut prop: $50??
    Turn Fin: $50??

I’m sure there’s more, but just the materials that I can think of total well over $900. Add the labor and custom paint/graphics, the hours and hours of sanding, and this thing is worth much more.

I am asking $699 shipped continental USA!!! Keep in mind that shipping will probably cost me as much as $50 or $60??!!

    Other notes:
    1. I only used (2) screws for the rudder. That’ all it needed IMO. You can drill the other (2) if you want, obviously.
    2. For reference, I ran the Pearl on (2) 6S 5000mah batts and a 240amp ESC.

    Thanks!!!

Wow. That went quick! Sounds good John. I had some time this afternoon and updated the hull with your numbers...

BTW - Your dad called. I tried calling him back but no answer. I'll send paypal info.

I glad it found a new home. It was a tough one to let go.

BTW - Hang on to that bubble wrap and those packing supplies. They're worth a small fortune!!!!
