    Composite JAE Rigger

Since I bought a sailboat this spring I have decided to sell ALL my 20+ years of F/E boats and equipment and go sailing instead.
I had one of the Original JAE F/E kits and it was a great boat once you got it setup. For a kit that was designed
as .21 nitro with a taller tub for F/E it works extremely well.
However, with the extra weight of the electric power system much less 4S 2P batteries for P rigger instead P Limited the hull and sponsons come apart.

So I decided to use my years designing and building race cars and ground effects along with my love for composites and take the rigger a step further with an eye on SAW's also. This boat is the result.

Composite JAE vacuum bagged large tub and sponsons with carbon fiber booms.
The sponsons are 2 part foam filled with CG approved 40psi strength foam. Brass tubes, epoxied in with reinforcement, support the carbon booms that are thur bolted from the top for quick change out. The turn fin mount has reinforced binding posts that go all the way thur the sponson and take a SS #8 bolt, this eliminates the turn fin taking the sheeting off the sponson and spreads the TF load to the entire sponson.

The tub is 3.75 wide on the inside which will allow up to 8S 2P 5000 mah batteries and has a 2" flat on the bottom. The boom tubes are doubled brass tubes epoxy reinforced for the booms. The basic round shape is the strongest shape and also the lowest lift. That is why you don't see square airplane fuselages.

It is equipped with Nue 1515 1Y 2200 kv motor in aluminum mount , Swordfish 200 amp controller Silicon Conformal coated with CD and program card, Futaba Servo also SC coated and sealed in an aluminum mount, Speedmaster strut with 3/16 flex with shaft saver and oiling system and a Speedmaster rudder.
The Paint is KlassKote 2 part epoxy which on well until I got to the bottom and hatch when it started to go off in the gun! so it is not perfect but as you can see from the pictures, not too bad. Don't paint on in 94 degree temps!!

The larger tub was built to allow for Larger size motors, batteries and speed controls and still get the 60/ 40% weight distribution. Unlike the wood JAE's shoehorn fit and provide enough flotation to survive the loss of both sponsons and still float!!!
We have other top national racers in our club and running the same prop we are neck and neck, then I prop up!

    No PM's

    $450 shipped in continental US.
The transmitter and batteries shown in the pictures are for size reference only.

Transmitter is available with SC coated receiver ONLY with the boat for $100.00 2.4 Futaba 3PM.

Good eye, 33.50" X 24.00" wide. With the radio option added your supplied batteries it is ready to run. Mid 80's on 5s and 70' s on 4s.
Check out this thread with good info from other racers.

Not knowing but what I've read in one week, it looks to me that riggers like yours are best for rough water. Correct?
Yes I've read that post, thanks keep them coming.

Do you possibly have the molds for the body and the pontoons? If so, are you willing to sell them?

goferit, you need to clarify your offer, if it is for the charger system + the boat + radio the answer is NO. and worriedsick4u is next up, if I don't hear from you by tomorrow morning 8am it will go to next in line.

You said you're selling all of your boats? Any other riggers? Bigger...better? Faster?

$110 + $480 = $590 I'm offering for all three. And, hopefully some helpful insight to get me started?

I would love to help you get started with boating system that will last you for years and years, instead of buying something that you will throw away in a couple of years.
Since you are buying all 3 items ; $450.00 shipped for the boat, $100.00 shipped for the charging system, $100.00 shipped for the radio. Total $650.00

Sorry, not going to $650 for all three. Will stick to my original offer $590 for all.
                            Thanks, Bob
