Extremely sorry to hear that. My deepest condolences. Don't give up. I can see by what has happened to you that you are not a quitter. Yes it is a highly emotional and depressing at least but you have a great family to stand behind you and a wonderful wife to be by your side. Be sure to console her and her to you but remember that life goes on and you can still try again to create a life. And if it's in your cards to have another, that is the most rewarding thing that could happen and life will get better. Glad to see your doing better from such a wreck. Most people would not have survived so there is someone looking out for you. Keep the faith. Somehow, someway, the lord is there. Just some words to help you think, it's a poem you may have heard;
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
‘You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?’
The Lord replied,
‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.’
