you can get away with a short 2 min burst run with 5 cell in a stock set up but with 6 cells you will surely roast some stuff.i run a 4cell 50c 5000mah and you can run it wide open all day with no problems.the esc says it can handle 6 cell but the motor will overheat. on 4 cell mine motor hits 140 degrees after 10-12 minutes of wide open running .guys at venom say they have had their motors up to near 200 degrees but i like mine to last lol. hope this helps. its a sick boat.

A new one of these sold on ebay last May for $380 shipped. The auction closed with 22 bids. Also, the last time I tried to buy one on ebay (it had never seen water) and the bidding went up to or over $300 all three times the seller listed it, but it didn't sell due to reserve. Never-the-less, it seems there are potential buyers on ebay willing to pay your asking price. Normally I wouldn't recommend it, but ebay might be worth a shot for this boat...

It ran well for a rtr boat. It was the last rtr boat I had bought, I started buying a bunch boats with in a couple of months, A few of the boats I had bought at the same time were built and modified boats that are faster so after running the kos once I lost interest in it.
