JAEs run very well in rough water, thanks to the narrowness of their sponsons they take a lot of pushing for the speed, but are by far the best rough water riggers I have seen, they are much better than my cats and full bodied hydros in rough weather and while I dont have a mono they can maintain faster speeds safely in the rough than my mates monos, although in extreme water I couldn't recommend anything other than a self-righting mono.

Did you use a jig when glueing the tub?

I did not use the jig when I started the build, the sides and formers were glued in place at that time. I bought 2 aluminum right angle pieces to use as a jig for gluing the bottom and top pieces of the tub. I figured it would straighten out the tub.
