Whats the history on this motor ...1/3 price of same new...DJ

DJ.....I bought motor used. Bench tested when I received it(worked fine). Put it away with other motors I had and never
installed it in a boat. My sons lost interest in boats and so now at age 76 I'm phasing out of the hobby. I purchased about 4-5 yrs ago. Best I can remember,lol.
