48 hours before NAMBA SAWs and my car crapped out
I built this boat for my own Rock 'n Roll giggles but it has to go. Fresh and pristine with ONLY two runs (videos below)
100_0110.jpg 100_0113.jpg 100_0114.jpgDSC05075.JPGDSC05081.JPG
JetChopper 30" glass hull with ride pad (think DF33)
3/32" birch ply transom doubler
Castle/Neu 1515 1Y 2200KV with thrust bearing -lubed after every run - very low mileage - never hot
HRC water jacket upgraded with 5mm fittings
Turnigy T-180 with correctly oriented water fittings - again low mileage
Octura .187 flex & coupler
hand-made motor mount platforms
EXI D226 digital/coreless/metal gear/ball bearing high torque servo w. 4-40 rod
Speedmaster .21 Nitro rudder (shortened some) boat CARVES right & left turns (P-Offshore anyone?)
Speedmaster 3/16 stinger shortened to coincide with drive dog
Speedmaster large trim tabs
Large OSE turn fins
hand-made battery trays with velcro one-wrap (4S2P ; 3700 / 4000/ 5000)
front and rear hatch retention
flotation as space permitted
West Systems GFlex used throughout
add batteries, rx & prop
Boat is FAST (my P-Ltd Jetchopper30 is current NAMBA P-Ltd Mono record holder). Handles unbelievably great and is very strongly built for long-term minimum maintenence.
Breaks my heart to say goodbye to this boat but I need a running vehicle.
