    Neu 1515 1Y

Selling a used REAL Neu 1515 1Y motor that has been laying in the parts box a bit too long. I have some extra CC 1515's there so not sure why I had to have another version alongside. Not much to say other than used but not abused. I ran it only a couple times in a UL-1 until I realized that a 1512 would be more appropriate for that size hull and speed it can do. That's what the hydro has now and I couldn't be happier.

There are no scratches on the shell, it looks as glossy and shiny as new. The previous owner scribed the size and winding on the outer shell but it doesn't effect the area a water cooling jacket would cover. Motor wires have 5.5mm bullets on them and the 5mm rotor shaft has been cut down from the factory length to allow a bearing to seat against the motor face when using a collet. Questions? Just ask. Price is $135 delivered and if you want a HRC water cooling jacket with the motor add $5.

Its the motor on the left of the picture. The .05Y is not for sale.

Everyone keeps telling me that the Neu motors are more efficient, and cooler running than the leo's. ONE question, to allow a bearing, which I have, WHY would you cut down the shaft?
I would like to be first in line for this, would you consider $135 total including the jacket? That way I could at least tell the wife that I saved five bucks.

I wouldn't run it on 6S myself. Its a 2200 kv and on 4S its right in the most efficient rpm/torque band. I guess you could use a 2000kv motor up that high but that sure is pushing it. And Neu's will last a lifetime if you treat them well.

A thrust bearing will keep side loading on your motor bearings to a minimum. Those bearing are not designed to take much side loading. They can take some. But not as much as some setups can load it. So you save your motor radial bearings by using an axial bearing designed to take that force. That's why the shaft was cut down. They are normally too long from NEU. I can do the $135 with the jacket if needed. Just message me or email at [email protected]. That is also my PP addy. Thanks, John

He called it first but if I don't hear from him by tomorrow evening its yours. I try and allow a bit of time to pass in case people are not able to get to their puter immediately. However I wont wait a couple days. One is enough to be fair. Thanks, John

Your good. Not a problem Todd. The O-rings are good. No nicks and smooth. They might even be new. Normally if I buy a used jacket I dump the ones that come with it. O-rings are cheap. And I have a bag of spares so I will make sure you get ones that wont leak. Thanks, John

Fundz sent, Thank You for waiting. PM me if you need any more info. Will PM you just to confirm address.
This is the third motor, AND esc I have purchased for this build! So I guess it is indeed true, "Change is the one Constant"
Edit, Would you be so kind as to install the jacket? It may even ship better that way.
