32" WildThing "Project" Hull - Former NAMBA P-MONO 2-Lap record holder

32" WildThing Hull. This was my former P-Mono, and NAMBA 2-Lap record holder for the class. Transom is drilled and has inserts for standard Speedmaster hardware. Hull is plywood construction, with a custom fiberglass hatch cover. Bottom in very true and has been modified with strakes. This hull really handles in P-Mono trim.

I was in the process of stripping the original paint from the hull so I could refinish. Just don't have time at this point. A little TLC and she'll be ready for battle again.

Great starting point for a killer P-Mono project.

Here is one of the build threads I did for this boat: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...P-Mono-Repaint

$75.00 shipped in the USA (shipping will likely be at leat $30.00 due to size and weight)

    Paypal would be preferred.

Darin, don't suppose you have any hardware to go with this?
My son and I picked one of these nitro hulls up at the swap meet in Monroe last year and made her fe. Really love how it performs, temped to pick up another... Here's my boy on our maiden run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGDTURvjoVA

I will look in my hardware bin. I might have the original hardware in there.

Yup... Mine is brass on this boat. This was the first boat I ever used that one. Now I don't build a boat without it. Don't design them without that either (See Impulse 31... )

OK, I looked, and I don't have all of the hardware any longer. However, here is a list of exactly what you should need. I can recommend everything except the turn fins... I wouldn't use those again. I'd steer away from the "teardrop" shaped turn-fins, and those brackets were actually Fuller's 6-cell strut brackets, all of which are now installed on my SAW TT boats.

For the strut, you'll want this:

SpeetMaster Stinger for 3/16" Propeller shafts
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...os-stinger-str

            For the rudder setup:

Speedmaster 21 Rudder Assembly 5.25" Long - Mono Rudder 2.125" Setback
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...=ros-21-rudder

            Inner Trim Tabs:

Speedmaster 1.5" x 1.5" Adjustable Metal Trim Tabs
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-spdt-150

            Outter Tabs:
Speedmaster 1" x 1.5" Adjustable Metal Trim Tabs
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-spdt-100

            Flex Cable:
Hughey .187 Assembled Cable for 3/16" Propellers
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=hug-b6666

            or

OSE .187 Assembled Cable for 3/16" Propellers
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-1190

            Drive Dog and Nut:

Octura Large Drive Dog for 3/16" Prop Shafts
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=oct-oc6dm

OSE Locking Prop Nuts (3 Pack)
            http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-8135

For turn fins... I'd fab my own, but if you want something bolt-on, you might consider just using some from the Revolt. They would work fine on this hull.

Motor mount and interior stuff will be up to you. Sky is the limit. Hull can handle a LOT of power...

            Hope this helps.

Price Drop... $65.00 shipped... Almost doesn't make it worth the effort at that price, because it's going to be at least $25.00 to ship the darn thing..

It's funny you should ask that... I was just staring at it, wondering if I should just keep it, finish stripping the paint, and prep it to turn it into a plug for a mold... That was the direction I was heading originally here..

The "mess" on the surface is dried Citristrip (great bombcan paint stripper, by the way). I was going to spray it again, then properly strip the rest of the paint from the deck an sides. Was planning on leaving the bottom alone.

I'm thinking I'd have an afternoon in stripping it and getting it cleaned up. The surface is very true and was sanded nicely before, but it would need a little more now, obviously.

I'm seriously contemplating retaining this to use as a plug. The boat was a great boat, just really heavy (might be why it was so great)...

OK... I have enough projects... if someone wants this, just let me know. I have enough building to do!
