Big, Bad 50" Hydro, Castle 2028...............60 mph!!

This was an absolute blast to build and run, it was my first big build and I learned alot and was quite proud when I completed it a year and a half ago. I just dont run it anymore, 1 time only this year, I just like mono's better and this guy is big to haul around.

    Specs:
*Listed as 50 incher when I bought it brand new, its more like 48"
*Castle 2028 with custom, self made watercooling jacket, works perfect!
*Twin Traxxas 2056 servo's which have been plenty for the steering job.
*All hardware is new speedmaster stuff as the original gas stuff was odd size and I wanted a dual pickup rudder.
*Prather s270 cut down to 63mm diameter.

I ran this boat on 9s2p and six 3s batts fit perfectly in the original gas tank area, this helps keep the cg about 2 inches behind the end of the sponson.
I sealed the air intake on the canopy and made a plexiglass cover for the exit. It is bolted near the top, but I tape it all the way around since i needs to be spread at the bottom to lock down, i couldnt put bolts there..........I has never leaked.........

This boat has NEVER been flipped, or crashed in any way, its rock solid and weighs in at 23 lbs fully loaded. I am keeping the SF240a hv so you will need a speedo. You can use your own arrangement of lipos based on your current inventory of them, two 4s and two 5s for 9s2p, or run it on 8s2p or 10s2p which I did one time and didnt really see that much more speed, probably 2-3 mph. The lipos are not included

The Castle motor is an absolute Beast and comes with 8mm bullets. I have peaked at 230 amps with it and ran a constant 200a many runs...........roughly 10hp!!!!!!

New lower price - $650 shipped to the LOWER 48 U.S. states ONLY , no ins, to be provided by buyer if needed. You guys get first shot for a couple days, then Ebay bound where my stuff typically brings more.

All correspondence must be on this thread. I would gladly accept a US Postal Money order to save on fees, but if you want to use paypal you may.

Vid of a typical run..............hit around 56-57 i think in this early vid, trimmed out now and hits 60.

More, the wood block is the ESC mount and accepts a ziptie to hold it down. There is a chip on the right sponson pictured below, I think i banged it on the door jamb getting it out of the house one time, easily repaired, there is a "star" hairline crack that is only in the gelcoat, blue arrow points it out.

One last shot, I was wanting a 'veteran' boater who could appreciate it to get it before some newb on Ebay

This boat is tuned and ready to go, the 2028 has about 15 runs on it, has never been run hot and has never been wet.

Lower 48 states only: shipped for $595 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shipping will be high so the boat is a good deal since I'm paying shipping.

Check out how big it is next to my Miss Elam!!!!!!!!

Hey Todd, I ran it on 10s2p once and really no big change in speed, maybe 3-4 mph with an x457, plus i kinda rag-tagged 10s2p together with some 3s and some 2s etc..............just wasnt very tidy. I had always planned on 9s2p and it fits perfectly as seen in 1-2 post pics. I used the tried and true workhorse SF240hv and settled on the S270 cut down to 63mm dia. I had to add and extra bolt in the strut bracket cuz of the huge power.

                        SOLD

                        Ebay comes thru again!

A total newb bought this beast.................i feel the responsibility to give him a full set of instructions from A to Z. I talked to him on the phone as well, he'll need some talking thru on things. He does have a Geico he ran twice so he at least has some grasp of what an RC boat is.
