I had some spar k&s tube lying around and decided to make some water pickups for my lynx.
I put barbs on mine (the one pictured) by wrapping a piece of copper wire around the top and soldering it on.
they are made by slowly filing away at an angle on the brass and then sanding away any imperfections, it is then put in a drill and spun and sanded to smooth out the barb and get rid of any oxidization from the soldering.
my soldering on these will improve as I tried multiple ways of adding barbs before I settled on this method.
