ToysPort Jolly Catamaran - White "Hull with Hardware" & guts

    Hello all…

Well as this hobby goes… getting into different areas of RC is part of the fun and well… addiction. I have my first love the heli., my second boats and now just starting into RC cars. A few of us bought the Kyosho DMT ve to buzz around in the sand, dirt and street. Although the car is ok, I’m going to go for the brushless e-revo… pretty obvious reasons. So to the point… I’m selling one of my boats out in parts but need some advice on what I can and should ask for the parts. I’m not trying to rip anyone off and I don’t want to be ripped off in the process.

The boat, parts, batteries have been run 5 times total! I bought this in 2008 so its been up on the shelf collecting dust. I could never get the collar to hold the drive shaft. After the 5’th run the dog bit the nose of my baby Jolly Cat and well I put epoxy over the holes and left her there on the shelf.

ToysPort Jolly Catamaran - White "Hull with Hardware" – bought for $599.99

Castle Creations Hydra High Voltage 180 - $379.99

Octura x438 Sharpened & Balanced prop

    Steve Neu motor – 1521 1y and water cooler jacket – 1577 kv - $249.99

Also 2 or three other props.

Again any advice on what price I should ask for these items is very welcome.

    Thanks…

    Jim

Not clear what your price is... "Bought for" never equals sale price... So I'm confused.

He's parting out the Jolly Jesse, and looking for some guidance from us on how to price it fairly.

          Pricing

          Jim,

Not to sound unfair, but typically 50-80% of the components current new pricing puts you in the window.

          Good luck with your sale,
          John

I typically sell RC boat stuff for 50% of what it cost.

How much more off, if your dog tries to eat it.

depends on how good of a repair you did. try to get some representative photos so buyer is confident on what he is getting. If your posted pics capture the damage, that looks pretty much cosmetic only.
I agree with jevmax on 50% return on products.

Thank you everyone for the replies and advice.

The pictures are the two holes my dog caused. I’ll add more so its more obvious to anyone interested in buying. I added epoxy to the holes thinking I would take her back out but never did.

Hell the only reason I’m selling her is complete lack of use & telling the wife I want to spend more money on an RC car… ya bottom line its better to sell these parts off and use it to offset the price I’m planning on spending on the car.

                    So here we go:

                    Steve Neu motor – 1521 1y – 1577 kv - bought for $249.99

Are the wires on the motor factory length or were they shorten?

At factory settings. Nothing on the motor has been modified... No need to :)

If its easy enough to ship to Canada then sure... As long as you pay the shipping cost (have no idea on how easy/hard it is to send). You'll have to give me more info to see if we got a deal or not.
