I have for sale all the parts that I was going to use to make a 1/10 scale hydroplane. I am selling this because I need the money for my nitro cars and also I don't think I will have time to run it next year.
The hull is from Mark Barbee at Rockymountain Hydroplanes ( www.rmhydroplanes.com ). He was the one that installed the motor mount, servo mount, stuffing tube, and strut.
I have not done much work on the boat. I have installed the fin on the hatch and it is to scale for the Tempest or the Miss Burien. If you want to make a differant boat, you may want to modify the design of it. I have also drilled a couple of mounting holes in the rear for the rudder and a hole on the left side for the cooling intake (this is where the full size boat had the intake). I have also added a bead of epoxy putty around the stuffing tube on the bottom of the boat.
Here is all that is included with this sale:
Carbon/Kevlar hull with glassed birch deck
full fiberglass hatch with primer gelcoat
cockpit seat
aluminum detail kit (instrument panel, shift lever, steering wheel, lift hooks)
stainless stell turn fin
motor mount
6' large ID silicon tubing
Eddie Hansen 1/10 scale driver (new in package)
2 servo mounts (1 in boat and 1 extra)
Aeromarine rudder
wire drive shaft
wire drive motor coupler
water inlet and exhaust
drive shaft thrust bearing
Allison V-1710 wood engine kit (partially assembled and partially sanded)
1/8 scale plans for the Miss Burien or Tempest (if you copy these at 90%, they will be 1/10 scale)
proboat blackjack motor (never been ran) with cooling jacket
2) X442 right hand props
Teflon stuffing tube
strut assembled on boat by Mark Barbee)
hull mount antennea tube
stainless steel boats and lock nuts
2 sheets Parma uncut vinyl mask
2 pcs K&S 3/16 brass tube
2 pcs K&S 7/32 brass tube
2 pcs K&S 1/4 brass tube
misc. hardware
I am asking $600 shipped to the continental US for all of this. This is less than what I paid for it.
ask me any questions you have.
