Hello,
I am sellling my crackerbox. I won't have time to run it next season and I could use the money for another project.
This boat started as a Nitro empty fiberglass hull. I forget who the manufacturer is. The boat has had the nose shortened to be the legal NAMBA 1/6 crackerbox length by Rod Santana. Rod also cut the large hatch out for me so that it would make working with the batteries and electronics easier. I have installed a bunch of pool noodle pieces to help make it float, in case the boat starts thinking it is a submarine. :) I don't know if there is enough in it, but I figure some is better than none.....and no it has never been sunk.
The boat includes a Proboat motor and water jacket. I think this is the 1500kv motor. The boat really should have the 1800kv motor installed in it. I think this boost in Kv will make it get up on plane and run well. I am also including Hobbyking BK200amp esc with a 2.5amp bec (I think this may be hobbyking, also). The other hardware that is installed on the boat includes the rudder, trim tabs, servo mount, and motor mount, flex driveshaft, Octura prop. The drivers are lightweight pilots taken from airplane parts.
Now here is what is wrong with it. I don't think any of these are difficult to repair, but they should be done before running the boat. The motor mount needs to be epoxied back to the hull. The rudder pushrod needs to be made. The support for the brass tube on the bottom of the boat has come unglued. It should be re-epoxied back into place. There also appears to be a few hairline scratches in the bottom of the hull near the center fin. I am not sure if these are in the paint or the fiberglass. I do not see any cracks on the interior of the boat, but the boat has a wood plate bottom and I can not see the fiberglass. I would think that a little sanding and epoxy should fix this.
I am asking $325 shipped to the continental US.
The boat is sold as-is, so ask any questions you have.
