Selling my scratch built, white hull Traxxas Spartan

Reason for selling is that I want to get back in to land based RC's. Wife said, "Sell the big white boat then!" This thing is fun, but I want to get back in to racing 4WD off road.

I bought a bare hull and built the boat my way, using all aluminum hardware. It has a Turnigy 4082 1600kv motor and a Leopard water jacket. The ESC is a 200A HobbyKing "Birdie" ESC. The system runs very cool and can be run with a large prop on 4S or a small prop on 6S. It's uncontrollably fast on 6S though. I prefer to run it on 4S with a large prop. It has a sub hatch to make it 100% water proof. I did this because I lost an ESC inside the boat when I flipped it and it filled with water. This caused some discoloration inside the hull, but nothing melted. I recently filled the front of the hull with expansion foam and the underside of the lid as well. The lid screws down to the hull with 3mm stainless screws. No prop included

    Video of the boat running on 2, 5000mah 20C 2S packs(4S)

Asking $OLD!! shipped, including paypal fees, to the lower 48.

I never knew when I built it that it would be so hard to sell it. I may have better luck on Bay

Lets try $280 shipped!! Includes all fees.

You probably would do better on ebay. My question is how much do you want for that motor?

If I sell you the motor, I cant sell it on ebay. How about $280 for the motor and you get the hull/hardware for free?

I'll throw it on there this Sunday.

All the best. You should get your $280 easily on ebay. I would definitely buy it if i had the funds but I've been trying to sell my Pursuit for 2 weeks with no luck.

I'm looking for a 4x4 short course truck. Losi or AE, possibly a Slash if it has a center diff. Other than that, a 1/8 electric buggy or truggy roller would work. No nitro. I started there but have grown very fond of BL setups.

Drax21, good luck with your sale as well.

Yeah, I know the timing is off and I'm going to piratically have to give it away. But then again, I have gotten great deals from other sellers, so it should make a good present for someone. Pay it forward, I guess.

Here is a video of when I flipped it and lost the first speedo. It was on 4S, 2P with an X450 prop. It was running way too dry! Then it got real wet, lol. Would of lost my GPS too

I don't know. I haven't put a GPS in it yet. Been meaning to do so in hopes of helping the sale, just haven't had time to head down to the lake. Besides, there are plenty of factors to take in to account as far as speed goes with this setup. On 4S the motor can swing a 50+mm prop so it can be "tuned" for speed that way. The second time out with it I ran an X450, from a 48mm carbon prop in the video, and it appeared to go considerably faster. On 6S, it can spin an X445 too but I never got around to putting my Garmin in it as it was stupid fast and way too uncontrollable. I basically built it, threw 6S in it and threw it in the water, made 1 pass and pulled it out top put 4S, 2P in it instead. I needed to tune it before attempting to go so fast with it.
