No holes in hull yet. It was going to be this winters project. But my gf lost her job and I won't have enough to do it this season.

I am really wanting a twin Gen but having a hard time biting the bullet and doing it. I am not that familiar with boat building

You can have somebody else build it. Tiqueman built my Daytona hull and I couldn't be happier with it. I guarantee it's a lot cheaper than you think.

I have been following your thread. Your boat is very nice. Just not sure I need carbon fiber but then again it is soo cool looking

Yeah if your going to just get started on building I dont recommend a CF hull to start on. I'd do a fiberglass one first. Not to mention the cost factor is less on a fiberglass hull.

My boat is going to be just for fun anyway and twice a year it will run in a no holds barred shoot out To be a contender I have to run at least mid 60's. Doesn't sound complicated right? I hate how much I over think things.

Hi there Chris (sk8onwater), Heres a guy getting mid 80s out of a 4082 1500kv motor with his. He's running his on 6s so that means his motor spins at 49,950 no load rpm. If you do like I did in my MG-29 and use a 2200kv 4082 and run it on 6s you would get 48,840 no load rpm which should potentially give you a top speed of around 82mph in the Genesis. Given the prop selection out there you will either have to spin the prop at a very high rpm or use a prop with a very high total pitch. I know the MG-29 is smaller than the Genesis but with the setup I'm using I'm getting well above 80 out of mine.

Here's the video I told you about.

Hes turning 33,300rpm, not 49,950rpm. Unless you got the kv wrong, he is in no way running near 80mph.
