I kinda hope this goes to someone who will really appreciate what it is and what it can be.
This was really my only "serious" boat and man did that thing never disappoint. LOL
Running its current setup on 6s it was mid 60's. Running on 4s it was in the shallow 50's. I have the Eagletree GPS data to prove it. Nothing ever even got warm to the touch. You could cruise this thing for what seemed like all day on a charge if you were keeping it in the 40's. I think a lot of it is the weight of the hull and that German design.
I'm not going to say much about the hull because I figure if you are looking at this and as serious as most guys on here are you already know enough :) It doesn't have that huge goofy wing that rips your canopy apart when it flips over. The hull is smooth and straight. There is a little bit of over spray that PO must have gotten on the top of it. But it comes off with a finger nail and leaves nothing behind. My plans for last winter were to do a wild high quality automotive paint paint job...but the new job just never afforded me the time.
Its running Fine Design hardware. Yes, the guy is a douche, but his stuff is pretty nice if you ever get it. He actually treated me pretty good when I needed some more gears. Which leads me to the next point. It is running a gear drive. I know a lot of guys hate on the gear drives, but it worked, it worked well, and it allowed me to tinker with gearing for speed without dropping more money on a new motor every time. I have a spare gear drive for it along with a whole slew of gears for you to try out. The combo that is actually on the motor and on the one gear drive is what I was running all last summer for the most part.
I have 3 props for it. One is an aluminum prop which was kinda fun and seemed to let it really spool up quick, I believe it was similar to my X448. The other one is a Grim Racer 42x55. The third prop is a sharpened and balanced Octura X448.
The electronics are a little bit on the budget side, but hey, it worked so I never really messed with it. Its running a Turnigy 180a ESC, Castle BEC, and a Castle 220kv motor with an OSE cooler. Also the servo is a Hitec HS322-HD. The electronics maybe have 15-20 battery packs through them. I honestly didn't run the boat that much. This was kinda like my, "pull it out there for a few really fast passes, then get the little guys out" boat. I also have a cheap watt meter to throw in for your peace of mind :)
Right now its torn down as the pictures show. I can put it back together if you would like. But I really hope you plan for an immediate, cool paint job so I don't think I'll need to do that :)
I don't know what else to say... If you have questions please ask.
I'm not interested in any trades due to getting out of the hobby.
I'm looking to get $600 shipped to the lower 48
Now for the pictures..I have a lot :)
