Wading one up at 80 mph is no indication that the layup is junk. This is a 45 mph hull at best.

Your experienced with layups and you thought......let's take 2 layers of 7 oz E glass to 80 mph. hehehe

None of the offereings in this price range are super high quality layups. They're just good enough to run at a reasonable rate of speed. Anything 32" that stuffs wont survive at 80mph. That's because 32" boats shouldn't be going 80. Hence the cheesy layups.

Clearly I did so I read it again. Your point sounded like the boats were junk because they couldn't hold up to an 80 mph crash. My bad.

Yes, if your going to run a cheap layup to 80 mph reinforce it.

I am actually impressed it went that fast.. but don't recommend it.. great hull for the price just don't push it hard or it wont last.. there wasn't good resin penetration in the cloth in my hull..

Gentleman out of respect to the OP this is by no means helping his thread, therefore should be taking up elsewhere. This talk would be better suited at fourq's thread on the hull!

does bold type help make a point? I'll try it too.

With all due respect the only reason I commented at all was that I don't believe the hulls are junk. I believe that for $75 it's a fantastic hull. The fact that it's not happy at 80 does not mean it's junk. I paid more for a cat that absolutely WAS junk.

                  Nope, didn't help.
