I have a 1st Generation Traxxas Spartan, equipped with 2 additional water pickups, the additional trim tabs, tygon hosing, the OSE aluminum water jacket, and I replaced the stuffing tube with quality brass tube and a higher quality liner. I also have installed a Boca Bearing Co Thrust bearing on the motor, and upgraded the servo to the digital 2075 w/ 130 in ozs and a faster transit time. The turn fins and the rudder have been sharpened to a knife edge. I added a seal where the strut meets the hull to fill that gap and help keep grease in the cable.
It also includes 2 blue lipo 5S 30C 4000mah batteries, which I run in parallel. The packs and the boat have approximately 15 runs on them, they have never been over discharged, and they are balanced every single time they are charged ( I use a very good charger / balancer)
This boat will pace a nitro hydroplane like the miss elam very nicely, I would put it at approximately 40mph+ with the current setup. I run it for 5-6 minutes at a time and leave approximately 35% of the batteries capacity. Temps are slightly over 110 on the motor and speed control after a run.
This boat works flawlessly with this setup, it runs fast and on an even keel. I have never flipped or bouyed this boat and it has never had more than a 1/4 cup of water in it after a run, and usually only a thimblefull as long as I don't reverse while bringing it in to shore ( I think that pushes water up the back)
I have added some vinyl stickers for the LHS and a battery company that I used once or twice, and painted the windshield silver, there is absolutely no damage anywhere on this boat. I pull the drive cable every couple of runs and clean and grease it, and thoroughly dry everything after use. I did sand off some of the blue anodizing on the strut to keep the adjustment from slipping, Ill try to get batts in my camera so I can get a pic of that too.
What Im trying to say is this is a nice boat :)
I have a thread in the Traxxas forum here and have added a few of the same pictures. here is a link to a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6KC_t47U7A
Comes with everything previously mentioned, and the transmitter (2.4ghz TQ), manual, original box, original stuffing tube and liner (unused) and the spare prop (unused) that is included in the new kit. I will also include the stock 10mm wrench set so you can easily maintain the drive cable.
Like the title says, $450.00 + Shipping to your door, for a plug and play boat. I have ben pretty happy with this boat on 5s, of course you could wick it up by putting some 3s batts in series, it will be lighter and have more voltage, but its reliable as a rock on 5s.
I am not interested in trades. I will ship internationally if you are willing to pay what I am sure will be tremendous (actual) shipping charges. Paypal is preferred. Ships from Columbus Ohio. If you happen to be local you are welcome to pick it up and save the shipping.
