SOLD!!! OK, I traded for this with great ambitions in mind but have realized I will never take the time to do this kit justice. I was planning to line it with fiberglass to add strength to the ABS hull and go from there--but as I said, too many other projects (and my main interest is aircraft) and this one deserves better. Complete NIB kit in mint condition, the box is in almost as good conditon, and includes two new Astroflight Turbo-05 brushed motors and speed control (typical of the period, this kit has two motors hooked to a gearbox to drive a single shaft). The motors are rated 28,000 rpm at no load, max 30 amps. Tame by today's standards, of course, but powerful for the time.
I have no idea what this is worth, so would like to trade for ???? I currently have hydros and cats (with a couple of scale "slow boats") and depending on what you wish to offer, am not adverse to adding cash to make a deal. Minimum is a hull with hardware, and preferably motor as well (ARR/RTR)--but would also consider a wood kit, as wood I know I can work with. Not interested in mini-hydros as I already have my quota, and am looking for boats in the 40" plus range. Even willing to consider a gas (not nitro) boat (and yes, I know, this is the wrong crowd--what can I say).
Will leave this listed for a bit and if nothing pops up of interest, then will decide how to proceed. Thanks for looking...
