I got the hull today and just noticed that the motor mount is reversed and the stuffing tube has been cut shorter and there's epoxy in the tub where the motor mount is screwed to the sides. That was not mentioned in the listing. I thought this was a "new" hull with only one run on it.

Was this hull new or not? I'm not happy with getting a modified hull when I was sold a new one.

I apologize if you are unhappy and would gladly refund your money. The hull is new, but I never ran it in stock form. In order to fit a bigger motor, I had to turn the motor mount and trim the stuffing tube. As for the epoxy, when I received the boat, the top two holes were stripped from the factory so I filled them with epoxy and and re-set the screws. The hull you received is actually better than the one I received. Flipping the mount probably doesn't make that big of a difference. In fact, look at the prototype. When I ran it, it ran excellent. As I said, if you are not happy, just send it back and I will refund the money.

To be honest, I'd rather return it and stick with a stock configuration...especially after what Grim said (in ALL CAPS) about turning the motor mount around in this thread:

                  http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ft-Motley-Crew

Looks like I'll have to eat the cost to ship it back - after double checking it should only be around $45 from here.

I'll just have to be more careful buying stuff on here from now on.

From Canada to the states? Shipping isn't as reasonable up here in the great white north.

It's ok. I may have a better rate (not $20, but still not bad).

Please note everyone - Cottageboater is being great about it and has already issued a no hassle refund. I'll give him credit where it's due - you can't really ask for a better response than that.
