Honestly, the way it's set up (5s lipos), I wouldn't consider it a "sport" boat. Its too fast for sport running on 5s. I ran it for about 2 minutes yesterday and the batteries took just under 700mah to charge so it would probably run quite a while, but that was at light throttle for a lot of the run. You can only really get 3/4 throttle where I run...there just isn't enough room. You would be better off running it on 4s for a fast, on the edge sport boat, or even 3s for a little milder running (RTR type speeds).

No, full throttle is much better. That's why the 5s lipos wouldn't be very good for sport running. 3s would be the only thing you could really just pin teh throttle and go with. Even with 4s you would have to be careful about blowovers, ect.
I put a GPS in this boat and didnt get much over 1/2 throttle on the little lake I was on and it hit 64mph. I think it's capabilities are probably close to 80mph.Comment
