I have a bunch of LEDs lights.
They are similar to the ones sold on hobbypartz & hobbyking.
The adhesive back on these was removed a long time ago but the lights were put back on the reel & never used. You can easily attach them with double sided tape or shoe goo or something similar.

I have over 100 lights which can be cut down to be sections of 3 x however many you want.

$2 per 12 lights which equals out to be about 8" long
+ Shipping

The last picture I have them submerged in a cup of water.
They are weatherproof but you need to apply epoxy to the ends & cover up the wires.

They are 12v LEDs hobbyking claims they can be run on 2s or 3s lipo but I can not confirm this as I have only tested them on 12volts.

Just tested them with AA batteries and at 8volts it works so pretty sure 2s should work.
