World record 2006 at 149 km / hr (92.6 MPH), recorded at the Straightway Races in the USA in the N2 Hydro class (max. 6 NiMH cells)
Straightway races are run over a 100 m course; the boat completes the course with a flying start in both directions, and the average speed is calculated.
The boat is designed for running in a straight line; therudder is used primarily for course corrections.
