+1 paypal is a service for the seller, you don't see stores jacking on fees for using a creadit card, sellers should just work into their price. If hes not willing to pay the fees I would just walk away. I've noticed a lot on this site that people want money as a gift or pay the fees, why is that? This is the first forim where I've seen this.Comment

My take on this issue is pretty simple, if people would pay the full asking price instead of trying to beat the guts out of a guy allready losing money in about 95% of the sales posted the 3% fees would not be an issue.
I as a manufacturer know full well that when i sell an item at retail price that price includes the paypal,visa,amex,etc .,fees built into the cost of goods and retail price is set accordingly.
Something you may not be aware of, paypal is now tracking transactions, and if you reach a certain amount, then the IRS is involved. Thus inflicting that much more pain to the seller in the end.
As for this forum being the only one, simply not true, i am a member of 11 different forums and it runs about 50/50 .
This post reply was not meant to be a bash session, i am simply stating the facts as i know them to be in my personal experience.
Basically in the end if you have a problem paying $ 9.00 extra , well in this case the posted offer was $ 240.00, not the asking price, paypal fees are only $ 7.20...Dont buy the boat and move on..
Just one last thing, i allways offer to pay the paypal fees on every offer i make to a seller, Paypal not only protects the seller, it protects the Buyer.....
