I know the quality of the scorpions are better (magnet wise and bearing maybe) The magnets and wire coating on the Scorp's are supposed to be able to handle some pretty serious heat and I would be supprised if the Suppo is the same.

Im about to put a leopard 4074 in my miss g and run it on 5s i was thinking about maybe getting some outrunners to try out also exept run them on 6s being that they are a lower kv motor, do you think 40,000 rpms would be too much with that leopard on a single motor hull? Also what kinda speeds you think i could get with one of those scorpions on 6s in the miss g?

40k is no problem just prop small. I really have no idea about these in a single motor setup. I would say with the right prop you should easily hit low to mid fifties on 6s.

I'm running a m440 prop right now on the stock motor and a seaking 180 esc and gettin 51mph out of it you think that prop is ok to run on the leopard? I also have an x642

Not sure yet. I am struggling to either sell the hull or make it scream.

i am a little surprised you did not see more out of the scorpions..i figured that boat would at least be high sixties and more then likely 70...were you maxed out with props?

I was running 447's and 447-3 and never got above 65 with those. Also ran some ABC props in 1.6 pitch 3 blade and only saw low 60's. Not sure of the amperage pulled since I have no logging gear. Kinda disappointing speed for me but oh well.

it was still a great running boat though..i thought the scorpions were a real nice choice..its just seems odd because we are seeing twin scorpion genesis hulls breaking 80 at 37 inches long..
