Also, on the M1 ; the wing really looks cool, but any inverted landings will tear it off ; I ripped a hamburger-sized patch of gelcoat off the Drifter's hatch at the THC after inverting at speed. [ maybe quick-release velcro with a safety line ?]

I thought that would be the case. I also pinned the wing at the support with small screws and epoxy from the inside to futher strenghthen that area. I hope that might help.

here's a simple hatch retention goodie : a garage door opener clip epoxied on the hatch ; sometimes I amaze myself with my ingenuity

While we're at it [ not really trying to hijack the thread!], check out these trim tabs with fins on the Drifter. Haven't run with them yet, I'll post when they get wet.
