    24" fiberglass/carbon "wild thing" mono

I am selling one or two of my 24" wild thing style mono's. This is a gelcoat with epoxy layup glass layup, carbon in the bottom. The carbon had peel ply laid over it, so the bottom is etched and ready for glue. That is why it is not shiny.

The hull is not perfect, I had a couple of bubbles in the gelcoat that I had to fill in and wet sand out. One is on the port chine and bow, another on the starboard side of the hatch opening. Nothing wrong with it, but the shiny gelcoat is sanded on.

The plain hull weighs in at 13.4 oz. This is one of my first epoxy layups on these, so I am hoping it holds up well, but need someone to take the plunge and build it/run it!

hatch cover is vacuum formed, the web between the drivers helmets can be trimmed and sanded, I have done this on several of the crackerboxes also and it works well. some glue on the inside of the seam, and sand it down.

I have a build thread on a similar one here:
    http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hlight=strakes
    with a turnigy 3650-2300.

There are more pictures in my album section also.

There are others on here that have built similar boats. The boat does not have any strakes except for the chines, but I can include some bondo strakes and they can be glued on the same as my other build. Or run it as is.

I would like $35 + SH for this. figure 2-3lbs from 46725 zip, I prefer UPS for shipping. With CONUS shipping I would guess $42 to $43

I have this one and another just like it except it did not have peel ply in the bottom, so the carbon is shiny.

thank you for looking, please ask any questions. Brian

Can you get a shot looking straight on the rear?

Im still in search for a hull to put a Graupner mini jet pump in.

Also how wide is it? How tall?

      Hmm, good questions.

7.5" wide, about 2" tall on transom, so just under 1 78" inside.

I think it is a 16 degree deadrise.

I always thought this would make a great jet boat, but being in NE indiana we do not have any flowing water to play on!

I got a river not far from my place but I wouldnt ever run a boat in it.

I like to run my boats in contained areas.

Let me give it some thought.

Still have one of these available at the $35.

I also have one that I made way back that is gelcoat and fiberglass matt (polyester resin) that had some air bubbles in the deck gelcoat. I filled with bondo so it needs to be painted. I will let that one go for $20 + SH with vacuum formed hatch cover.

Also have two more that the gelcoat came out nice on, no problems. Hull + hatch cover as shown for $40 each + sh.

24" wild thing epoxy glass hull with carbon fiber and hatch cover for $40! What a deal.

I am about an hour south west of angola, not really worth the extra drive and I am nothing to look at either

I will post a couple pics of the $20 one tonight so you can see it, but it is reserved for you first.

              Brian

UPS computer is saying about $7.50 SH, but I will go $25 delivered if you decide you want it.

                  Basstronics, here it is

                  Pictures of the boat.

It looks like the sides of the hatch opening have sunk down some, probably from post cure of the polyester. they are flexible enough that you could glue a piece of wood under them to stiffen them and straighten them. Or, run the heck out of it just the way it is!
OH, there is foam in the front of this one also, forgot about that.

This one is paid for and shipping Monday, thanks Bass!

If I got the one with issues then someone will be happy with the better quality ones.

I see the obvious dips in the back. I think Im gonna just let that go. Only thing I really want to do now is get that foam out of her. Weighs to much. For flotation in all my boats Im going to those plastic air bags used in shipping. I just need more of them... lol

Yes I do, might have two of them, but I do have at least one.

UPS.com says about $9, but I think I get better rates at work through my account. So how about $46 shipped?

If so, paypal to befunovo at yahoo dot com

Also let me know if you want me to throw in some of the bondo strakes that I make and I will.

                            thank you, Brian

Ok, let me think about it. After posting I measured my jet and it's at 1 7/8 sitting flat and it may be just a little to tall for the rear of your hull.
