    Lehner 2250 12T High Amp 8mm SMOKED

    This is SOLD
OKAY $69 Shipped in the US to roll the dice...lol....
Here is a Lehner 2250 High Amp 12 turn 8MM shaft... I had a flex cable issue and ran her til it overheated til it locked up.... this was a real bad day....lol.... this motor ripped when I was running it not bound up...lol.... I bought it new for bocku bucks... don't even wanna think about it

It had a total of about 6 runs before total lockup.... on the final outing the motor got so toasty that one of the motor wires fell right out, and the motor locked up...lol....

this was one of my biggest losses in RC boating... from poor flexshaft alignment

anyway I am offering this for best offer... if someone wants to take the time to send this out to lehner and have it fixed they are usually good with their motors about fixing them.... maybe one of the gents from accross the pond close to the manufacturer will want this?

Don't know what its worth but make me an offer, someone will own it very reasonably..... It needs to go as its been sitting on the workbench...... and I am trying to weed out all the stuff in the shop to make room..

About the time I buy this, they will tell me it's $575 to rebuild a $600 motor, lol...

Make me a halfway decent offer and it's yours.... I have been told lehner is reasonable on repairs... But no promises....Was a very fresh motor before the disaster...

And remember you shouldn't have underestimated OSE.... A WTB lehner 2280 jacket would have gotten you the one sitting on my work bench that I had xtra from my 2280's alot cheaper:):) ok I'll stop rubbing it in now:)

        You know ur killin me....
I really took it in the pooper on that water jacket...
I never even knew about OSE until I was looking for someone to machine custom motor mounts and somebody said "hey, I think there is a guy on offshore that does that" (shout out to Pete a.k.a. PUNISHER 67, you da man!!!) So, I found the site, and here I am... I didn't know about the swap thread until after the Germans put it in me... : (
So, that being said... I'm still a little fearful of the good folks over there at Lehner...
I don't want to be rude brother and give you some weak offer, give me an idea of what your thinkin, and I'll decide if I want to play

            Motor still locked ?
Why don't you open the can to see how bad the damage is ?
Might be a very nice motor for my next mono. But if the rotor is demagnitised, the windings are damaged, and the bearings are way too
overheated, I'd rather buy a new one...

motor is still locked..... I don't want to mess with it.... I've got a total of three runs on this hot rod.... how do I open up a lehner? I really just want it off my workbench so I can forget about the loss that occured...

                Opening a lehner :

Make a tool : I use a aluminium strip. With 3 holes in it.
Large hole goes over the shaft. Other 2 holes : match to the mounting holes.
                Secure with 2 screws/bolts.
Hold the motor by the can ( i use a leather cloth to have good grip )
Now you can unscrew the bearingshield, using the tool as a "handle"
