You're killing me Here!
I want the scorpion, but not sure about the specs. If it will work on 10s in a DF40, let's make a deal. Have to look into it tomorrow. I'm tired and it's late right now, I'm not thinking clearly.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

I am sure you know the following stuff but I will post it anyway.....
fully charged 10s= 42volts X 500kv = only 21,000 rpm...
I want a 5035 too.... but until they come out with a higher KV I am holding off... I think this motor would work in a BIG boat well though.... one that would handle well with a BIG prop...... if you ran a schulze esc to its max you could run 14s which alot of jet guys do with this motor....
fully charged 14s= 58.8volts X 500kv = 29,400 rpm.... more where you would want to be :)Last edited by JMSCARD; 10-27-2010, 10:53 AM.Comment

fighter thats a low kv and a big motor for a df40, just...... JMHO....... I think you would be better with a 4035/800kv motor..... just my opinion.... the 4035 is more of a 8s and 10s motor... this would need at least 12s.... on 10s you would need a HUGE prop and I think it would affect handling....

This is a great great deal on the motor no question.... just not ideal for a 40" mono.... in fact Brad (b.mcdaniel) would be smart to look at this for his "big hull" project.... Again GREAT deal on a great motor!!!! all of your prices were and are great!Last edited by JMSCARD; 10-27-2010, 06:40 PM.Comment
