I don't remember selling that esc, or do I lol J/K.

Great esc I bought it from HK back in June, just to add some extra information to the sell. Good luck.

      Yeah it will!

Get one of the new HK outrunners in 1100kv or 880kv and run 8 or 10s! Two moderately sized 4-5s packs and you're golden!

JMO, good luck with the sale.

Problem is, the hull is soo narrow, I dont think it will handle well with a large diameter prop. Better of with a smaller-ish prop with more pitch to keep the torque-roll under control. @ 28000 rpm on 6s the ammo would need something like an m445. I'm hoping a 640 will suffice with the stock outrunner.

Ah, gotcha, didn't think about the clearance on the stinger for the prop.

I'm so tempted! I just ordered one recently though...

Maybe a good candidate for a Typhoon 1100kv on 8s.

If this has the same circuit as the 100amp turnigy it won't work with the typhoon on 8s . I tried it in my surge and it has sync loss on 8s.
But it can't be 100% the same because they are totally diff sizes.

                          Interesting. Wonder why.

It has to switch too fast, it is an 8 pole outrunner spinning at 32000 rpm I would say a nice 2 pole or 4 pole would be perfect! Like the kda 36-74 1100kv or the kb45 700kv or a low kv leopard. I know the 100amp will work with the 800kv T600 on 8s tho so i should be good for my big twin mono. I would really like to go to 10s tho so i might have to go with twin kb45s or similar if they get out of sync too.

You were using a Pentium 100 HV? http://www.hobbywing.com/upload/manual/hw-04.pdf

It has a stated limitation on RPM and poles:
                              7. Maximum speed: 210000 RPM (2 poles motor), 70000 RPM (6 poles motor), 35000 RPM (12 poles motor).

The 80HV appears to be different. http://www.hobbywing.com/upload/manual/HW-15.pdf

I couldn't find a restriction based on poles or RPM, so it should work with the Typhoon on 8s.
