I bought this SV27 a short while ago to play with a bud and his SV27R. It was originally blue which I thought I liked but ended up wanting white so I painted it. Clearcoat needs a wetsand still but other than that it's decent. I bought the SV27 decals for the white hull which I will include with the boat. (thanks Bakedmopar!)
I only ran this hull 1 time I believe on 4th of July weekend with a UL-1 motor and it was fun. I removed the battery trays and radio box and put in an Aeromarine servo mount the rest is stock.
This would be a great first boat for somebody or just a fun boat altogether with the right setup.
To get it on the water I would recommend the following.
ESC: I'd recommend the Swordfish 120 from OSE here or similar.
Motor: I'd go for Turnigy B3656 1800kv you can get at Hobby King or Kintec Racing Or AQ 36-56-1800kv Available here on OSE.
Batteries: 2x 2s1p 25C+ 4000mah+ Lipo's your choice, Turnigy would be great.
And your choice of water cooling jacket, cooling lines, flex cable grease, hatch tape, radio and receiver.
The transom will be sealed up and free of leaks and the boat will be shipped in it's original box with stand. I can also at an extra cost include a Tactic 2.4ghz radio lay real carbon fiber flooring or anything you like.
