Blake, why don't you sell off the motors and esc and with the money get yourself a couple of gas motors. That way you still get to keep and run that beautiful cat, instead of selling the whole lot off. just my 2 cents
HPR115 x2 ,Dark Horse Shovel, Delta Force CyberStorm, Delta Force Sniper 23-RTR:
i have def givin that some thought.... but im still unsure as to what i will do id love to keep it and run the Lehners in it, but i dont want to burn my boat to the ground... to much money into it
Just make some flame retardant covers for everything that could burn. Or even an onboard fire extinguishing system. You could control it through your radio. There's lots of things you could do just like you'd do on a real race boat in the case of a similar situation.
Tommy keep all your stuff and just wait youve come to far dont quit now my boy.I know i dont know your finances but dude this makes me sad ans it aint even mine. Man you almost there hold on to it. I had my first scale for over 5 years before i completed it. Cant you get one of the guys to come over and help you finish her?Screw weedies in that boat leave it fe. I'm with you total package... but don't sell your schultze's for $375 so you can buy two $259 swordfishes... that just don't make much sense....? I think they are older version schultze's too so you'd be hard pressed to pull that kind of money but they are still great esc's.... I agree though as anyone buying this would want to buy earlier in the year so they can get it ready and still use it a bunch before winter.... at least where I come from.... I am new to the big boats too, just got 4 bigger ones this year tho... I have a 40"df mono, a 45" df sniper, a 44" aeromarine cat, and the other boat Cat-boi sold on here... the 54" mhz drambeui on ice.... still haven't gotten that one wet yet... anyway I've gone through a motor and esc and lipos in my 44" aeromarine cat... a motor in the df 40" clone but other then that they are just like any other small boat I run.... just take it slow... don't rush when you are hooking up 16 batts in series and parallel.. and try to keep your stuff.... I assure you when it is done you will have something to talk about.... you are almost there too... start a thread and see who here is close enough by and would give a helping hand.... heck we all love this hobby... many of us would love to get sight of that boat on the water.....
Blake, you should really reconsider selling the boat. Like others have said I dont know what your finances are, but if it is a little forgiving keep your boat and we can guide you on the building of your boat. Also see if anyone reputable here on OSE lives nearby. ANYONE would absoulutely love to see a rig like yours. It is truly a "Dream Machine". The only other person here who has a HPR 233 is Grail. Then he tore his up and is throwing turbines in his. He is now doing another hull with the guts in his Archlight. This would be a wise man to ask for guidance. We all would be willing to help but honestly very few have the wisdom for your special setup. If it takes a while to finish her so be it, you will have something that very few here in the states has in their posession. Hell I have an H&M Intruder S catamaran. I thought about selling it a couple times but this is a very rare item here in the USA, I'd be crazy to let this go. Besides it is one of the fastest and most stable cats I own. Just me but I would keep that big monster and take your time to do it right.

This is all kinda funny stuff... sorry to muck up your thread... but its almost like we are all trying to live Vicariously through you and your boat.... boy we really are addicts....lol...
Yep.What they all said.I wanna come help you and I really dont know anything. If anything,Id be happy just to help set it in the water. It really is a sweet boat.If your intimidated by anything on it,just go back in the house and think about for a few days. Then you ll have it figured out.You ll kick your self in the hinde end if you sell it.
Well guys I was going to get on here and post a lower price one last time to see if it goes... And I still may? And to be honest with you guys iv been talking to Grail since before I got the boat from sandy... He's been a great help, well he's been behind alot of my decision making:) but also on the other hand he has warned me of the severe dangers of running a set up like this.. Especially With out anyway to monitor the amperage, temps, rpm etc (eagle tree)
To be honest I was 10000% for getting it built and running this beauty (and previously stated.. Yes she is my baby!) but then after all the talk of how easily stuff could go for the bad.. I kinda got cold feet...
I am slowly wrkin myself back up to finishing it!
I just hate to see around $6k + with paint go dwn in a lake bc of an error I made or just an mechanical error...

Didn't I see someone in another thread mention having insurance on one of these big builds? Maybe that's a real option you should consider if you plan to run it alot. Hell, I'd look into it if I was approaching 10 grand with an rc boat build.
