    WTB: SV27 Motor

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I've come to ask a favor! I am new to FE boating but not to R/C and decided to pick up another type of craft. The only problem, the SV27 I bought has no motor. I did a little research and believe I want a motor with as low of a kv as stock one for the best runtime, as I don't know if I can handle the speed of a higher kv motor yet. So if you have a SV27 and upgraded the motor to say, a GP ammo 2300kv or Feaigo 12L and have the stock Aquacraft motor laying around unused, let me know! I believe they run $49.95 new on tower, so I'm looking to pay around $35 for one. Does that, sound fair? The boat will be here in about three days, and I hope to have a motor purchased by/around that that time. Thanks for looking!

I might also consider a motor other than the stock SV27 motor, like a GP Ammo or Feaigo 12L if I have no other leads. Throw me some offers, people!

I have one... The coupler set screw is locked down and stripped. If you don't want to take off the coupler, then it'll be fine. If you do, Then a good drill bit should remove it. It's very very lightly used, and never been submerged. it did get wet once or twice though, but not inside the motor.

What would I need to take off the coupler for? Can I pry the coupler off if I need to? Can you take a better picture of the stripped setscrew for me, if possible? I have a pretty good set of TiN hex wrenches that can take off any pinion screw I've encountered, so that shouldn't be a problem. I suppose the screw was stripped using one of those L-wrenches? Or is it the L-wrench stripped and the screw is fine, because I've had that problem before. What are you looking to get for it? PM me, please!

You don't really need to take the coupler off, at least I never did. This is the best pic my camera will take that close up... I can get it off for you, but the set screw is toast. I think only a drill bit will get it off now. Where do you live (where will I be shipping to)??

Since there's work involved in getting off the coupler (which doesnt have to be removed) I'll do $35 with coupler removed by me. or $30 with coupler as it is in the pic...

I'll take it for $30 shipped. If, in the future, I decide to or need to take the coupler off, all I will need to do is drill it out correct?

Correct. Just get a 1/16 drill bit (new/sharp) and drill it out.

you know you could dremal a slot into it and take it out with a screwdriver(flat one)... thats what i did one time. as long as you dremal deep enough not to ruin the coupler its still usable but you put it on and take it off with a screw driver..

I hate those things .......next time i'll try pounding it with a hammer,
throw it against a wall a few times, then kick it off the side of a building,
that will take care of that. lol
