FS: 1524 1380 KV Neu with cooling can

I need to pay some bills, so new big project is being liquidated, which means I have no boat for this killer motor.

Motor + cooler shipped and insured to Cont US: $250 International shipping covered by buyer.

I got this made earlier this year as a replacement for a Medusa I killed. So factory build date would be Feb/Mar 2010. The guy talked me into a built in fan which is pretty sweet. I got me a 1527 cooling can which pretty much engulfs the entire motor can - except for the fan. When I bought it, I thought it was a 1.5Y, but the one thing I do know is that it is 1380 KV. I look at the Castle chart and that would make it a 1Y... It has a 5mm shaft.

I have a hand full of runs on this guy, max temp was 130F on 5S4P and Prather 225 prop pushing my 40" fountain that had a float weight of over 12 lbs about 40 mph. I tried 6S but hull couldn't handle it, but I am sure motor can handle much more voltage. The amp draw on 5S was under 120amps and averaged around 60-80 for that application.

I have 5.5 mm bullets and one of the set screws was sticking up a hair so I filed it down gently to allow the (brand new) cooling can to slide on. I taped up every hole when I ground the notch on the shaft, so no fragments are inside!!

Price drop: $250 for very gently used near new Neu. Great motor here... high power and efficiency with low heat.

Sounds like a great application! I'd like to see what this baby can do!

Are you running 5.5 mm bullets? That's all I use and if you won't need em, I can take em off for ya.

I was using a himodel 200A (I sold that too), but I would guess you could probably be OK with a 180A or so. The motor is low amperage - I specifically chose it for that reason.
