    580 6L Motor

For sale a 580 6L motor. The motor is basically new with about 8 short runs on it. Never too hot and in perfect condition. The water jacket is the newest one Steven sells that is thinner than the older model. I got this motor from Steven about 2 months ago so it has very little run time. Good for a boat that is roughly 30" to 40".
$95.00 shipped with water jacket and 5.5 male connectors.

Todd, I am used to just doing paypal, but ok. I will PM you my address. Send me the check and I will send you the motor when I receive it. Will that work for you? You can check with others on here, I buy and sell on a regular basis.

Thank you for being tolerant of my old fashioned transaction. My banks money order went out at the post office this morning. If I were more of an avid buyer, or seller I would definitely get a Pay Pal account. I'm retired and live on a fixed income, and make maybe only one purchase a year in this manner. The last was here in Dec. for a 34" Aeromarine Titan, which is where your motor is destined. I don't believe he does it any longer, but Steven took a credit card phone order here at OSC awhile back. The dia. of the 580L will not fit the REAR Williams Racing rail mount the boat came with, (was a Neu 1515), but I'm sure I can figure something out. I am hoping that a Turnigy 180 will be enough(?). I do appreciate your reassurances of your integrity, and not that it really matters, I meet up with Diegoboy, Meniscus, and Egneg, (TEAM Fear), here in Va., from time to time. Thought I'd post this as a PM, and indeed one is forthcoming, but I've nothing to hide, and input is always welcome, (thanks Karfrik). Did you get your SV27 motor? If not let me know, I have one.

Actually no, I did not get that sv27 motor. If you are interested in selling it I would still be interested in buying it for what I offered. P.M. me your address if you want to do it and I will be sending a check to you!

I was running a Turnigy 180 with that motor. Started with a x440 prop and then went up to x442with a 33" deltaforce knockoff. The Amps were peaking at about 170 coming out of a turn and hitting the gas hard and then quickly backing off to a much lower level amperage once the boat got up to speed. I just bought two more of the turnigy 180's I think they are great esc's.

The motor came in an SV27 I bought on Fleabay long ago. Frankly, it looked as though it had been rode hard, and put away wet. Not what the ad, and the pics indicated, (go figure). I ran it a few times, but rebuilt the boat with an Ammo2300. I hosed the motor down with corrosionX, and it has been shelved ever since. Unless you tell me otherwise expect to see it at your doorstep near the end of the week. You may pay me what you feel it is worth. If it works for you, I would say about half of what you were originally willing to pay.
              Regards Todd

                  580L motor

The motor arrived, and hopefully the 580L is a resilient motor. The small inner box was not taped closed, and the air bag type filler was simply laid on top of it, and not wrapped in, so the motor was allowed to roll about freely. Then to add insult to injury, I think the delivery driver used the box as a booster seat. Anyway thanks for your fast shipping, and accepting a money order payment. Todd

Wow. Sorry about that. If there are any problems with the motor in any way please let me know. I stand behind what I ship and life is to short, if there is any issue at all with the motor I will make good on it. That was a nice brand new box when it left Texas. When it left my house I had it tightly packed in the packing materials. Maybe one of the plastic bags deflated?? Sometimes I think the postal service likes to play football with them or something. Was there any visible damage to the motor?

                      580L motor

Because the small inner box was not taped closed, the motor rolled out of it, and it's shaft did not play nicely with the air bags. Had to re-seat the water in/outlets with a dab of silicone, (leaked even when tightened). Otherwise it should be ok. Other than removing the motor from it's mount how does one lube these motors?

Just a drop of oil on the front and back bearings and turn it a bit and you are done. They really need almost no maintenance at all.
