if you want to buy batteries then mark them up, this is not the site for that
the two sites listed above will work for you, not here
its obvious you want to make a buck and don't care about fellow FE boaters, you or your friend..

As a noob, this site has bailed me out from getting ripped off. I almost bought these batteries at the first asking price, but then recalled another thread that went a lot like this one, and checked hobbyking pricing myself...

I appreciate this site acting as "trusted advisers".

Look everyone. My intensions were not to rip people off. I simply bought extra batteries due to a group of us just got boats and I prepaid ordered for the group. These have been back ordered for quit sometime. My original price was high as it was pointed out to me. I dont have a problem with that. I just dont like my integraty attacked and the nasty PM's I have been receiving. I dropped the price to match Hobbykings price for 1 battery with EMS shipping thats all. I have posted their prices for everyone to see. I paid for EMS shipping when I ordered them and included USPS shipping which is 2-3day delivery. I loss 3% to paypal and Priority shipping is 4.85$ through paypal using their small box which will only hold 2 batteries. My intension were to offer someone the chance to purchase a battery at the same price and delivery time as if they orderd 1 from hobbyking with the same shipping time frame. I know there are discounts on larger orders such as mine and anyone can order directly from them. I support rc hobbies on many levels. I am new to boats and found OSE last month when I got my boat. I dont post much because I am a newbie and dont have much experience to offer but I have used the forums many times to find info. I can appriciate the fact that you guys look out for each other I do the same for my friends also. But I dont think the nasty PM's and name calling is apropriate. I have pulled the selling of these from the site but still the bashing continues. Let it rest!! If you need a couple of batteries you are welcome to pm me with an offer I will either except it or I wont. But please dont pm me if all you want to do tell me what I low life piece of crap I am or offer me a price of less than what I paid for them.

Thanks for reading and hope you can see from my point.

This entire "for sale" thread has been an interesting read, in particular your last post, Kurtis. Being relatively new to the FE game and OSE as well, I can only offer a somewhat naive take on this entire fiasco. Its sometimes a royal PITA selling a single item online let alone multiples. You have a surplus of goods that are not needed, you want to sell them to some like-minded individuals, but what price to set? Too high and you are labelled a con artist rip off, too low and people think you're hiding something. Too many of the same item, and you begin to look like a commercial interest in a private sales forum trying to hose people. I read your listing, and did the price comparison (we all have HK in the favorites, right?), and thought to myself "what is the benefit to buying these from this guy rather than...?" I guess thats the question I will ask myself when I list things for sale as well.
If you had an avatar, I suspect it would be looking pretty beat up right now...
Good on you for continuing to post and explain as best you can, its better to deal with the situation in a proactive manner. Silence, not so good...

I think what happened here was people expect that since its a "private sell" its always going to be a better price than from buying from retailer and the fact that these batteries are hard to get. Hobbyking marketed these at a tremendous price for a great battery. Unfortunatley this particular sell wasn't that case. I use to buy OUTRAGE brand batteries for more than twice the price from a gentleman who had a small online heli site. He was price the same as most other venders but helped me a lot when it came to technical concerns with my heli's. I found Hobbyking and tried the Turnigy brand and never bought OUTRAGE brand since. I never once bashed OUTRAGE brand or the site I was getting them from for what appears as a rip-off. I paid the price they were asking under my own free will. I cant blame them for that and realize that trying to compete with overseas pricing is practically impossible from a US market.
I think people lost focus on the fact that they are getting a good quality battery at a way better price than local/ US retailers can offer. Even Hobbyking is conciderabley higher from their US warehouse. Unfortunatley on these types of forums certain members take it upon themself to police the forums and bash or degrade someone that they dont agree with just because they are veteran members. This is wrong in my opinion. I have let these people beat me up with a keyboard and its okay. It has been said the pen is mightier than the sword. But I heres my advise. Dont take a pen to a sword fight.
