FS: race ready 31" Aeromarine Challenger

    (pending funds)

Well economics pinched me hard this time. Gotta sell one of my babies. Here she is, race ready - just add radio and batts.

Package deal: $525 shipped UPS and insured
(cont US - International inquire about additional postage)

The hull I got used, but in great shape. There are several minor scuffs on the bow, no damage nor compromise to hull integrity - no cracks at all. There are some minor pock marks in the gell coat, but other than that she is beautiful. I had to reposition the hardware from the holes already drilled, and they are all filled with epoxy from the inside - a quick coat of white will cover all traces.

She is set up with 580 8L motor with metal cooling jacket, thrust bearing and .150" flex to a Speedmaster stinger. New trim tabs/ turn fins and a beefy 4" rudder. Here she is with an Etti 150 Opto with extra caps and a waterproofed external Castle BEC. Peter Zicha whipped me up one of his special motor mounts with an ESC plate. High torque metal geared BB Futaba 3305 servo has 5 coats of spray plastidip and uses a .078" wire to turn the rudder with out any play. I will include the Octura X445 balanced and sharpened prop.

Graphics were designed and applied by me (adhesive monokote and automotive pin striping - completely removable if desired, but on there good if you like as is). The three drivers have not been painted yet, but are ready to rock and roll and are included.

I rigged up my eagle tree and here is the resulting graphic; this motor/prop provides nearly 2000 watts and under 100 amps. If you don't know what this means, you have a very cool running system with lots of headroom. I have run 4 and 5S but always 2P and great speeds, well into the 40s and very stable. See my vid in the chop.

    more pics

There are a few folks lined up on this but nobody has said "I'll take it". Shouldn't last long at this price.

here are more pics of hull, hardware and electronics.

You'll notice my doubled up carbon fiber plates I had to install to allow for position of motor mount. I ran one cooling line and nothing has ever gotten over about 90 deg F. I kinda like how the caps look like a big ole V8 or I guess rather a V10!

    More pics upon request.

Not interested in dismantling for parting out. If someone wants the hull minus something, that I can do, then sell whatever remains separately.

Hull, hardware, motor servo (just minus ESC) would go for $475
If you don't need prop take $25 off price

Boat stand will only be included in whole package deal.

At WW VI last Feb., Dan Proulx raced his 31" Challenger in P-Mono & P-Offshore. I was skeptical until I saw it run and it just ROCKED !! This will make a great raceboat especially in heat-racewater ! [ Just tore the DF 33's a new ***hole !]

Thanks Tony for the support. I am really sad that it has come to selling another "I'm never gonna sell this boat" situations. She really runs dry and unbelievably stable. After a solid 5-6 min run she comes back without a drop in her - dry on the inside too.

If you need more convincing, just ask LipoPower Robert how happy he is with his DF33 I set up and sold to him...

And Jason, girls get over these things but I do hear ya on the fair's fair credit card threat...

Did I mention the flex drive is brand new and has only a half a dozen runs on it? That the sub hatch (plexiglass) keeps ALL the water out? That there are three dudes that will be included for your painting pleasure?

Make an offer, you may get lucky!

Whats the portion cup lid for? How high is your stuffing tube after you relocated it?

the grease retainer? I set that over the coupler so any grease/oil (lube) that might come up the shaft doesn't get slung all around inside - no other function.

Height is about 3/8" to base of stuffing tube. It ran WAY too dry when it was at the base of the Vee; she still runs plenty dry but super stable now.

I would also take $300 for hull hardware (including coupler to propnut) and servo (remove motor, mount and ESC)

I haven't filmed it on glass.... but it is one of the smoothest vee hulls I have driven or seen. Amazing hull. Too bad I have to sell................... good for whomever is the lucky one!
