I would say about 10 short runs in a sv. Short as boat spent more time in air and upside down that pretty side up.

            Turnigy

I just wanted to say that I have one of those 3648-1450 turnigy outrunners in my mean machine. I have only ran it on 3 and 4 cells so far, do not know the amperage. But I was pushing a plastic 47mm 3 blade from OSE on it with ease, never got warm.

I need to get it back out and test the amps and try 5 or 6 cells. It seems extremely torquey! I like mine. Supposed to be 1110 watts at max eff of 50 amps at 6s, 70 amps for 20 seconds.

Need to get mine back out.....

I have 2 Turnigy motors and I like both of them. The other is a 36-56-1200 (looks like Ammo) I use in my rescue boat. You can’t beat the price on these motors. I ran this outrunner on a K@B leg on 6s on a tunnel. Yes outrunners are torquey motors. The cooling plates helps on heat @ 6s. I thought about trying outrunner on HOTR cat but have a hard enough time get the cat to launch with out it flipping over on its back. So I was going to get another hull for this motor but have more boats than I can run so that why motor up for sale.

Sundog , I will stop by P.O. tonight on way home and ship shaft. I also want to thank you for all your posts on Tear Into Jet thread. They help me a lot. I have two Tear Into jets one with stock jet and small outrunner for streams and creeks. The other is my rescue boat with an ABC jet drive and a 36-56-1200kv BL I run on 6s. I pull a rope and large hook to retrieve stopped boats. This works great because the jet can run over rope of hook and not cut it like a prop boat. I just circle my jet boat around my stranded boat 1 or 2 times and the hook catches on and I pull it in. This makes a great rescue boat very small easy to carry plus very maneuverable. Plus small boat with big motor + 6s = lots of fun.
                Thanks

Thanks and you're welcome! The Tear Into is a sweet boat - very versatile. ! And that motor is a good match for the ABC drive - should be plenty of torque for recoveries on 6s! And I like your grapple I could have used it the other day on my rigger. Flex cable gave up the ghost (more story here), water came in the stuffing tube quickly but sealed sponsons and noodle foam in nose saved the day. We rescued it with a (real) jet ski. The Turnigy 3s 2200mah lipo was fine - used it later that day on an ABC jet ski while testing a new outrunner.

I put the rigger on a food dehydrator over night, but haven't tried things out yet to see what else survived the submersion.

Update: Finally got the nerve to power up the previously sumberged boat and all is well. Key here was to not give the boat any throttle after taking on water and putting it on the dehydrator overnight. Whew! Close one.
