That's some nice strut Jeff! Will that work on the UL-1 with your .078" wire drive with 3/16" shaft?.... Norm

Heck ya! I wanted a 1/4" nose so it can be fit on many of the current models. . Lubed for life sealed ceramic bearings...smoooooth. I know it is a little high price but with the bearings and machining it is worth it. I feel a bearing strut is the link between taking out that last part of resistance that we can do.

I put regular bearings in this one until the ceramics come in. Should be Sat mail.

This one is mine but already need to order more. I am not putting a lube hole in these as I feel it could be pulling water in....and with the newer sealed bearings I just do a squirt in the strut before I slide the shaft in.

On a few of mine I actually remove the inner shield so the bearings can be sprayed out and lubed...on the regular bearings only. The ceramics are lubed for life...so they say but there is not anything to rust since they are SS and ceramic balls.

No matter how much prop torque you put on a bearing strut she still runs smooth.

Are you going to offer one with 1/8" nose, I don't like all that shim, just makes for a loose fit.

                  Ha...too funny, Jesse...you nut.

Yes, I can make smaller noses to fit what you want. I did take that option off my site that I had but they will probably be a brass nose then.

Sounds great! Changeable noses will also be a plus.

No reason....if a person puts the shaft in too deep it is better to ride in a brass end than alum. Mine will not run that deep or you will not have the room for the prop. I can make them alum so they match the strut.

I had so many asking for a typical bearing strut with 250 nose so they could just put it on their UL or other RTR with 250 stuffing tube.

I willput an option on the site soon but if you want something now just let me know.

Jeff, I am considering a bearing strut for my H&M Micro Drifter build - I want to use a .062 wire drive with a 4mm prop shaft (I have several 4mm props). Is this feasible? And can you fix me up with strut, wire, shaft and tubing. And maybe coupling (5mm motor shaft). You might prefer to pm me. Thx, Dave.

That is a perfect set up for this strut . Top strut on the page and the 2" offset bracket at the bottom.

I can provide the straight 4mm shaft with 062 wire and drivedogs, nuts, couplers or whatever....they are all on my site.

and order a 4mm step shaft on that wiredrive page and I will make it straight with no step up.

That will be a perfect set up for that boat. Look at the rudders as well. The one is 3" long so it should be perfect as well.
