    F.S. Volcanic Splash

I have been out of building/racing for a couple of years but am looking to get back into it. In order to fund my new projects and support equipment I am selling some items I currently have that I won't be in need of anymore. I tried to sell this boat a while back but it never sold so I thought I would try again. Here is the original post from 2008 with all the details of the boat:

I purchased this hull used from D. Chase a few years ago and it only saw the water once since its been in my possession. It sat on my shelf for the better part of a year and half after I recieved it from him. I spent another year on and off completely tearing down and rebuilding. I purchased all new gear inside and out with the exception of a few custom hardware pieces and mounted everything. I also made a fiberglass secondary tape down hatch in addition to the main cowling. Hull has been reinforced with carbon fiber rods overlaid with fiberglass cloth. The skeg was removed to reduce drag and the transom was built up so the running hardware would mount perfectly vertical. Sponsons have also been blueprinted. Other than a few "scrapes and dings" from normal use this hull has no cracks and is built solid. As you can see from the pictures the underside of the hull could use some paint on the transom, sponsons and main tub (areas that were re-worked by me). All these areas have been sealed to the elements and the hull can actually be run as is but a little red paint wouldn't hurt either. As I mentioned I did run it one time to test everything after the build was complete to make sure everything was in working order... and it was. It has not been dialed in but with a few testing and tuning sessions it will surely be a little water rocket. Hull alone measures 21.5" long by 12" wide. Includes everything needed to run except radio and battery!

    Here is what is included:

Used Fiberglass Volcanic Splash with 2 hatch assembly
    New Solinger Hydro Hardware
New .130 flex cable, 3/16" stub stepped down to 1/8" with bullet nut
    New Nemesis 7S
    Used Hacker 70 Navy ESC
    New HS 85BB Hitech servo
    New Dubro Kwik Switch
New N.H. Schmidt 5mm/.130 motor coupler
    New 5mm thrust bearing
    New Antena
Custom Aluminum motor mount - Motor can be removed from mount without removing motor coupler. Mounting face plate can be removed from mounting brackets as well.
Custom Aluminum servo tray - No hassle 2 piece servo tray. Simply remove 2 screws from base and lift straight out.
Custom Aluminum Flip up Hydro turn fin - 2 1/2". Reinforced sponson.

Here is the breakdown of my investment in this hull:
    $160 in Used items
$215 in New electronics and hardware (OSE)
$ 40 in Custom hardware (comparable to OSE)
    $ 20 in miscellaneous parts/hardware
    $435 TOTAL

I'm asking for $315 and I will pay for the shipping to the Lower 48 States.
I accept paypal or a Postal Money Order. Please feel free to ask any questions.

As you can see I have a lot of money invested in this hull. However I would really like to pass it on to someone else and so I'm dropping the asking price to $225. That includes shipping to the Lower 48 States. I accept paypal or a Postal Money Order.

Pictures don't fully show the effort and work put into this hull but this is a really clean and solid build. Some "markings" on hull are actually flash spots from the camera and dust.

NOTE: This is the Fiberglass version of the hull (not ABS)

There has been some interest in having me part this boat out. I would first like to try and sell it all together but If I can't get a reasonable offer on it fairly soon then I may resort to parting it out.

                  Thanks
