      Hi Gary;
      I never hooked up the telemetry but from what the instructions tell me, it seems the speed portion is more suited to RC Cars as a sensor appears to record RPM and convert it to speed.
      I would imagine that on a boat, you coud hook the sensor to the coupler to record RPM.

      As for range of the radio, ran full race courses and almost to the point of not knowing weather a boat was coming or going with no issues ever. The average external antenna size was about 1 inch high.

          The speed section works in cars by taking the RPM off the RPM sensor and converting that to speed (you have to calibrate it much like you do for a bicycle speedometer/odometer).

              If I may ask, why are you selling this cool setup?
              I just picked up a Losi 8ight Truggy and possibly could use the Telemetry for the temp, speed, lap times, and rpm

                It has gotten to the point where I'm taking to may different radios to the pond so its time to
                simplify my setups.

                        Received the receivers (haha) today. They look like they were barely used.
                        Thanks for the great deal!
