I've been watching this too, there is nothing in the rules that dictate the thread format. My only point is that the OP should stand (7 days) The OP didn't say "ends Monday" therefore it should run full cycle & post #10 should be omitted. Any changes in the thread format after the OP only inspires possible favoritism."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Jeez......What a firestorm. I read the rules before hand, and they said nothing about auctions. As to the closing date, I thought I was doing a favor by not letting it linger for 7 days. I would have edited the header if I could have. How would closing early, giving 2 days notice favor someone?? I thought this would be a fun way to get rid of a lot of stuff all at once, and someone would get a bargain. Sorry for offending anyone. If you feel the need to delete the thread, go ahead. Thanks to the guys who liked the idea.Titan 29...GONE, team believer...GONE, mean machine...GONEComment

are you making this a "ruling" or a suggestion? for next time.....7 days seems like an awfull long sale which I am sure he didnt realize and is the reason he changed it..as far as favortism i assure you I have never dealt with sparky before and he has no reason to favor my bid.......the reality is that anyone can outbid me by 9pm this evening
since its the first of its kind sale i would suggest we let it run out as he stated since there is no rulings posted in the rules
Like I said anyone can still out bid me before 9pm so it is completly fairSPRINT CAT 40.........BOOGIMAN 25" MONO 8xl

I'm just saying that the original parameters posted should be followed. any changes afterwords can cause hard feelings sometimes (not necessarily in this case)
For example: I post an item for sale normally, at price x. I change my mind and edit the OP for price Y. (more) anyone who entered the thread while I was editing, would see the old price and want it @ that price. Which price should be honored? It's really up to the seller. but the point is that hard feelings will be made because of the change. Remember when Steven took away the ability to edit posts? We don't want that to happen again do we? So let's THINK before we POST!"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."
