It really needs a low KV motor. It may work with an SV motor with low amp demands (small prop, 4S), but I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone to push the UL1 motor especially going fast. This is rated at 45 amps and they stink when they fry (I know!). They work with 1500KV motors or less ( I know the SV motor is a tad higher, but you should be ok if you don't push too hard).

I could of shipped it with your motor! I am selling off my Fastech, because I have recently bought a DF 33. Maybe you can help me you seem very knowledgable. I am not habby with the speed after running the Fastech on 6s with the 11xl the DF33 isnt fast enough. Current set up is 2-4s with 10xl nemisis 445 prop hydra 120. What are thoughts to increase speed more volts, bigger kv, prop? Thanks

Why don't you start a build thread and take pictures of your set up, there are a LOT of variables and pictures will help us help you. I got my DF33 up to almost 60mph before I sold her. Get a build thread going and we will get your boat rippin! (your 10XL can go 5S - just be sure you have a 200 amp ESC to go with it). You may need a bigger motor, that's a lot of boat.

i used to run that same esc in a 25" df copy running a ammo 2300 on 4s m440 prop was good for 45 mph for around 1 1/2-2 min

probably the short runs and the small, detounged low pitch prop are what saved you. It is a tough ESC, I just don't want to advise people that it will work great and then have them burn it up by not being aware of the limitations and how to stay within them.

yes very much so, the ammo needs a small prop to work any way
i think they are a tough little esc and probably underrated a bit
but yes people should be aware they are only a small power esc
but if used in a conservative setup there great. and water proof

That said, two of these lil buggers and their proboat motors did push the 38" Intruder at almost 60 mph on 6S using the internal BEC! And the timing was set high....

I have used them on 6S with small prop and low timing for short periods w/o problems. BUT switch it to high timing and you get about 7 seconds of 50 mph then a nice smokey glide to dead stick...
