    cobra boat builder

someone wanted to know a little about myself so here goes . Im the new owner, builder of cobra boats formally sniper boats . Ive been the builder all along for the top decks, cowlings, and the radio boxes for bill britton when he was the owner . He stopped building them for some reason . i think he was really involved in his new wood over foam boat the sniper gen 2 . so no orders came for about 3 months and so i asked him what he was going to do with the molds and all the materials he left at my house. he sayed he wasnt going to build the gen 1 boats anymore . and i asked if i could buy them and we made a deal and i purchased the molds. and we agreed i would change the name and thats how i became the owner builder of cobra boats. now why am i selling boats so cheap. well i think the boat is a great boat real fast and handles the turns great and i build the whole boat by myself now and i dont have to pay a middle man. i do boats in my free time after work or on my days off . so i can keep the price down. and i wanted to offer a fast competitive new boat to people for a reasonable price. i know this boat runs great as a nitro boat.and i think it would be just as good as a FE boat. this design was the winner of 1st and 2nd respectively at the tunnel champs in charleston south carolina and right now theres a gal in 1st place in the high points championship in district 3 mod tunnel. and for $150.00 this is a great deal well i hope this answers some questions and i hope to see some of my boats in the FE tunnel races soon dan

And for those that say, hmm, there is a Gen 2??? Dont think about it, Bill will not sell any to anyone other than his tight knit race crew, and I think only about 6 of those exist. I am working with Dan right now on getting the FE set up right, and I hope to have some final evaluations for him, and buyers as to how well this boat does as FE so stay tuned! Mike

will these be a custom order only? or will you build some to sell on the forums? also any thoughts on what running hardware to recommend? thanks. These boats look very enticing.

right now im building just what people order but as soon as im caught up on orders then ill build boats in different colors , fades, and splatter designs just to show people that i can do just about anything in the gel coat . and as far as set up you just have to figure out where all your stuff goes. and what you can afford to spend . i do know the battery has to go all the way to the back as far as possible the boat rides on the back 4 inches of the boat . thanks for your interest dan
