WTB-UL-1 ESC's

HELP! I blew out two of these guys yesterday! Anyone got one or more at a REASONABLE price?

need to put caps on it, it will stop that...............

Yeah, I know. But one of I blew up by plugging it in backwards! A guy loaned me his that he had put caps on and it still would cut out after about 10 seconds.

The other one quit after being submerged. Not sure why.

I'm still trying to get my mind around all the conversation about the caps.

One cap, two caps,
three caps,
more

Seems I need to go
to the big CAPS store!

But what capacity,
what size,

So many answers
I can only surmise.

Hey, relax! It's easy, very easy...
For $1 you can get your esc fixed!!!
Any cap from 80uF-1500uf, 25V or so and make sure is good for temp 105C or greater.
It can be installed by itself or in addition to the one that is still there working, that is it!

the caps is the only salvation to a UL-1 esc i make a cap board for mine will take pic when i get home and post...........

Haha. Just had the need to wax poetic. What has confused me is not the installation. That is very simple. The confusion has come in about what size and how many caps.

Looking forward to the pics of your cap board!

I assume the addition of caps would be good for any esc?

i run 4 25v 1500up caps.......... 4 is plenty enough my intruder s i run 50v 1500uf but it runs on 22.2volts .........

the way i see the caps store energy, the more energy stored to send to esc the better and less heat caused by lack of voltage ........ but everyone has there own thought on the matter........
