WTB ESC for older "BRUSHED" motor

    Hello!

My father-in-law recently purchased a like new RC10 CE. It is one of the originals with the gold tub chassis. I think it was the last model produced around 1993?

Anyway, the mechanical speed control is garbage and I suggested replacing it with a BRUSHED ESC. Does anybody have one laying around from the old days that they would be willing to sell??

It has the stock modified Reedy 540 BRUSHED motor. I'm not really sure what type of ESC is needed so any insight would be helpful. Thanks

I've used one of these http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0A_BRUSHED_ESC in an ABC Hobby Jet Ski (550 brushed motor) with good results, and didn't need to cool it. It came stock with a crappy 2 speed mechanical w/ 25A fuse.

You want to go at least 60 amps and water cooled. I think I have a Jeti kickin around here if interested.

Sorry, my bad. Figured a question on a boat forum would be about boats....
